The Summiteer
1st Generation
(Ref. 2191)
TRASKA’s sophomore release, the Summiteer, brings 21st-century engineering to the classic field watch.
2nd Generation
(Ref. 2192)
The second generation of the Summiteer features a number of upgrades to both form and function, arguably the most exciting of which is the introduction of the boxed sapphire crystal. Inspired by plexiglass crystals found on vintage watches, these share the same aesthetic as plexiglass, coupled with the superior scratch resistance of sapphire. The case sides are now convex rather than slab-sided, and the new screw-down crown is both easier to grip and more pleasing to the eye.
3rd Generation
(Ref. 2193)
Legibility is the driving force behind the Summiteer’s third iteration. The dial openings have been reduced by 1.2 millimeters in diameter due to the new inward slope of the internal part of the bezel. The result is enhanced legibility, overcoming any distortion of the minute track that could be caused by the boxed sapphire crystal. The bracelet’s end links have been given a sleek upgrade; now fully CNC milled, the faux center links protrude subtly yet with distinct definition to create an alluring effect when viewed from any angle.
3rd Generation 36mm
(Ref. 6221)
Our community had long been asking for a 36-millimeter Summiteer, and in 2022 we answered. Originally intended as a one-off release, the Summiteer 36 has proven a hit and has earned its place in TRASKA’s core line-up.
4th Generation
(Ref. 6222 & Ref. 2194)
The Summiteer arrives at its most realized form thanks to significant innovation and investment in the boxed sapphire crystal and applied hour markers. The new, slimmer case has been thinned down from 11.2mm to 10.55mm (including the raised crystal), resulting in greater ergonomics and a “melt on the wrist” feel. Replacing the printed indices of previous iterations, the three-dimensional profile of the new hand-applied markers hewn from Super-LumiNova elevates the overall aesthetic.
5th Generation
(Ref. 6223 & 2195)
The rugged essence of our utilitarian aesthetic, the Summiteer has already been through four significant evolutions since its release in 2019. Feature after feature has yielded to our relentless iteration process, so for this fifth release, very little was left to be changed. Improved end links with tighter tolerances improve the look and feel of the watch when glanced from any angle. A decoupling mechanism silences the winding of the mainspring when screwing the crown down after use. Already available in both 36 and 38mm, this latest release brings in an all-new colorway, Oxblood Red.
